I see the words
Spray-painted on the roof, seven, maybe eight floors up.
Perhaps they're meant for some modern-day Rapunzel, lonely in her high tower,
No longer willing to grow her hair
Knowing that it's futile in a world of
Air conditioning and sealed plate-glass windows.

ReplyDeleteNow that's what I'm talking about! Less self indulgent Stephenia references, and more angsty stuff on Americana.
ReplyDeleteLiked it. But already a Tyler Durdenesque disillusionment with cubicled modern life? I thought they you paid you too well for that. :)
More angst, less self-indulgence. Sounds like a teenaged Catholic boy. oh wait - that's what you are!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting anyway. I didn't think this was a particularly strong post, personally.
It's Stephania, btw - note the 'a'.
As for Tyler, what do you think he would do?
Joechettan! What are you up to in our fine city? Lovely weather eh?
ReplyDelete"Lovely weather"? You're talking about the weather on my blog?
ReplyDeleteYou are truly Americanized, I see.
Actually, I'm from Coonoor, where the weather is always an enjoyable topic.
ReplyDeleteBut I guess after half a year of cold, sunshine and blue skies can get quite exciting.
